Burnham lifeboat launch area to be extended
WORK has begun in Burnham to extend the beach lifeboat launching area.
The new low water launch facility next to the jetty relies on bog mats made of high density wood.
The RNLI says mats put in place last August have been in operation since and have proved such a success that the contractor who installed them has been asked to extend them.
