Burnham sizzles as heatwave hits: PICTURES
BURNHAM-on-Sea became Burnham-under-the-sun as temperatures soared to a sizzling 29 degrees on Tuesday.
People flocked to the beach to enjoy the rays, with some even brave enough to take a dip in the sea.
The promenade was packed with revellers strolling along, ice creams in hand, and with the good weather set to continue, summertime in the town is looking promising.
The Met Office has predicted a long-awaited heatwave for the rest of this week, so beach-goers were due to see plenty more of the glorious sunshine.
