IT WAS an evening of musical entertainment, as two local bands got together fir a charity concert.
Burnham and Highbridge Band and Weston Brass join forces to put on a show in the Princess Theatre, Burnham in aid of the Weston Hospicecare, on May 21.
Both bands played their own sets, before coming together to produce a strong 56 player band on stage for a grand finale.
This is the first time the bands have played together.
The evening was attended by both Burnham and Highbridge’s Mayor and Mayoress Michael and Maria Clarke and the Mayor and Mayoress of Weston-super-Mare Alan and Jacqueline Peak.
Donations raised £700 for Weston Hospicecare and the bands would like to thank everyone who supported the event.
Burnham and Highbridge Band have a busy summer of fetes and bandstand engagements and will be returning to the Princess Theatre on September 11.
